Today was the Coinshooters of San Diego monthly metal detecting club hunt. The hunt was originally going to be a Mini Hunt at Bonita Cove in Mission Bay. A Mini hunt is where coins and tokens are buried. You keep all the coins and redeem the tokens for prizes.
Well the weather didn’t cooperate, it rained a little the previous night. In order to quickly bury 200 coins the sand has to be try. So the Mini hunt was canceled and instead we hunted Mission Beach by Belmont Park.
There were some good finds. I found a small sterling silver ankle bracelet. I didn’t win and won’t steel the thunder for the winner, hopefully they will post about their find.
The next hunt will be Nov 6th at Mission Beach 1pm-3pm -0.1 low tide
